I'd rather see a sermon than hear one any day;
I'd rather one should walk with me than merely tell the way.
--Edgar Guest, poet (1881-1959)
(180:3.7) When Jesus heard Thomas, he answered: "Thomas, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man goes to the Father except through me. All who find the Father, first find me. If you know me, you know the way to the Father. And you do know me, for you have lived with me and you now see me."
(182:1.20) I am the way, the truth, and the life.
Edgar Albert Guest was a prolific English-born American poet who was popular in the first half of the 20th century and became known as the People's Poet. His poems often had an inspirational and optimistic view of everyday life.
