Each progressive spirit is opposed by a thousand mediocre minds appointed to guard the past.

--Maurice Maeterlinck, poet, dramatist, and Nobel laureate (1862-1949)

(151:1.4) In patience have I instructed you all this time. To you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to the undiscerning multitudes and to those who seek our destruction, from now on, the mysteries of the kingdom shall be presented in parables.

(177:5.2) This was the occasion of Jesus' warning his followers to beware of the support of the multitude. He recounted their experiences in Galilee when time and again great throngs of people enthusiastically followed them around and then just as ardently turned against them and returned to their former ways of believing and living. And then he said: "And so you must not allow yourselves to be deceived by the great crowds who heard us in the temple, and who seemed to believe our teachings. These multitudes listen to the truth and believe it superficially with their minds, but few of them permit the word of truth to strike down into the heart with living roots. Those who know the gospel only in the mind, and who have not experienced it in the heart, cannot be depended upon for support when real trouble comes. When the rulers of the Jews reach an agreement to destroy the Son of Man, and when they strike with one accord, you will see the multitude either flee in dismay or else stand by in silent amazement while these maddened and blinded rulers lead the teachers of the gospel truth to their death.

(185:5.5) A few days before this the multitude had stood in awe of Jesus, but the mob did not look up to one who, having claimed to be the Son of God, now found himself in the custody of the chief priests and the rulers and on trial before Pilate for his life. Jesus could be a hero in the eyes of the populace when he was driving the money-changers and the traders out of the temple, but not when he was a nonresisting prisoner in the hands of his enemies and on trial for his life.

Maurice Polydore Marie Bernard Maeterlinck was a Belgian playwright, poet, and essayist who was Flemish but wrote in French. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1911 "in appreciation of his many-sided literary activities, and especially of his dramatic works, which are distinguished by a wealth of imagination and by a poetic fancy, which reveals, sometimes in the guise of a fairy tale, a deep inspiration, while in a mysterious way they appeal to the readers' own feelings and stimulate their imaginations". The main themes in his work are death and the meaning of life. He was a leading member of La Jeune Belgique group and his plays form an important part of the Symbolist movement.

Similar to every discipline of sports activity, horseback riding also needs special outfits. It does not suggest that without the right gear of the rider, the horse is not going to canter, nevertheless the tradition, comfort and ease, aesthetics carry out a crucial purpose in any disciplines. Especially horse riding, namely a discipline from distant history, has built particular attributes through the years. Breeches are undoubtedly among them.

Equestrian breeches, comfort and ease, and tradition
Equestrian breeches are exceptional horse riding pants. Because they do not have seams on the inner edge of the leg, namely in the spot in which the rider’s leg meets the seat, they provide level of comfort and freedom of movements. This sort of strategy for stitching shields your skin from chafing, allows the rider to appropriately saddle the horse and travel for long periods not having unfavorable effects. Breeches may be firmer or puffed throughout the thighs and legs, just like cavalry breeches.

Right now, the most popular are tight types of breeches, even so, there is still a huge group individuals preferring the cavalry type, such as saloons or jodhpurs, having straight or just a bit extending legs. The last type became preferred in the Nineteenth century Britain because of Jodhpur maharajah taking part in polo in such apparel.

    What makes breeches distinctive?

Breeches are seen as high waistline and grip - short or long. A grip is an extra support having a covering of suede, leather or silicon that goes towards the knees or over the whole leg. It assures considerably better gluiness, gumminess in the saddle, even so, the style of the breeches is dependent on the rider’s personal preferences.

Full grip breeches have this added strengthening on the inner side of the pants on the entire length of the place that the rider’s body fits the seat - with the buttocks to calf muscles. This specific model is rather popular among dressage riders, who opt to ride at a trot or canter. Due to limited slippage and excellent tackiness, gluiness, gumminess, they make it better to stay in the saddle.

Knee grip breeches have the strengthening on the inner area of the knees. This specific model is especially popular among jumping riders as it ensures flexibility of movements even at the expense of a lesser proper grip. It gets results at a trot and canter in half-seat.

    Materials for breeches
In order for breeches to be as resilient as they can, they must be created from high quality components. Fabric is decided for a given time of year, that makes it appropriately breathable, isolating, quick-dry, and easy to clear. The material really should be somewhat elastic and maintain its structure even after a number of laundries.
