Building a Service Program Infused with Spiritual Ideals

by Claire Thurston

The Urantia Society of Greater New York will host its first hybrid meeting on

Saturday, 11/19/22

12:00 to 2:30pm EST

Claire Thurston will present the program “Building a Service Program Infused with Spiritual Ideals.”

According to The Urantia Book, service is the way to enact spiritual values. Urantia University Institute (UUI) is creating a School of Service to inspire students, provide training and best practices, and build an ongoing peer support network.

With this program, courses and educational resources will be created to maintain and nourish not only individual spiritual growth but also wider social transformation. These resources include: service toolkits from service leader experts who will be leading the course, written discussion boards with peer comments, and a virtual network that the students can utilize for peer support. The administration of UUI will also provide technical support for students and leaders.

With this program, UUI hopes to help our students, faculty, and community members discover how they can serve purposefully, utilizing their individual talents and honing the skills they need to serve at their full potential.

Local members will be gathering in an apartment close to the George Washington Bridge in New Jersey. Other members and friends will be joining electronically.

If you want to participate, please contact Eileen Laurence at eileenlaurence@gmail.com for more information.
