Volunteer Opportunities

Virtual-Community Coordinator

Help study groups, societies, regional and other virtual Urantia community groups stay connected with each other and the world with ZOOM video conferencing support. The virtual-community coordinator provides onboarding support to group leaders interested in a free ZOOM account provided by the Fellowship, creates and maintains a community virtual-meeting calendar, and works with the Fellowship office to engage the wider Urantia Book community in virtual community activities.

Requirements:

    • Familiarity with a breadth of topics within The Urantia Book

    • Experience working in a team environment

    • Strong organization and interpersonal skills, timeliness 

    • Project Management experience preferred

    • Familiarity with ZOOM technology preferred with training available for enthusiastic learners 

    • Minimum one hour per week with the possibility of a greater time commitment

    Uversa Press Coordinator

    Provide leadership to support the worldwide dissemination of the Urantia Book. Work with the Fellowship office to manage Urantia Book and secondary work distribution, improve visibility of these products in digital marketplaces, work with our community to make new secondary works available, and much more!

    Requirements:

    • Familiarity with a breadth of topics within The Urantia Book

    • Experience working in a team environment

    • Strong organization and communication skills

    • Project management experience is preferred but vocational training is available for enthusiastic learners

    • Minimum two hours per week with the possibility of a greater time commitment.

    International Fellowship Team Member

    Experience the beauty of the revelation reflected in diverse cultures and contexts. We need volunteers who want to foster friendships with readers from around the world and help individual students grow in their appreciation of the teachings.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum one hour per week
    • Preference given to bi- or multilingual fluency

    Revelation Research Volunteer

    Explore our archive of Urantia Book scholarship spanning back to 1955 and help us make past gems of philosophical insight into the Urantia teachings more accessible. We need volunteers to review, summarize, and catalog past scholarship, articles, recordings, and presentations.

    Requirements:

    • Familiarity with a breadth of topics within The Urantia Book
    • Minimum one hour per week
    • Appreciation for the way in which each individual uniquely contributes to the panorama of God’s creation

    Pipeline of Light Coordinator

    Provide leadership for this flagship program of the Fellowship and help ensure that the epochal revelation is made accessible to those who wouldn’t otherwise have access. Work with Fellowship administrator to vet Pipeline of Light requests, navigate the unique challenges of international book placement, follow up with recipients to help them in their journey with The Urantia Book, and provide leadership to help the program grow in global impact.

    Requirements:

    • Firm grasp of the teachings of The Urantia Book
    • Experience working in a team environment
    • Minimum two hours per week with the possibility of a greater time commitment

    Writer or Publications Team Member or Both

    While acts of service are intended to be self-forgetful, the experience of discovering the value of service is an essential and shared part of our community's journey with The Urantia Book and an opportunity we want to provide for others. We need experienced writers to help tell the story of and invite participation in existing program activities to provide occasion for new and greater service opportunities to be discovered. 

    Specific writing skills needed include:  Technical Content, SEO Content, Marketing & Communication, Editorial, Feature, and/or Press Release Writing

    Requirements:

    • Familiarity with a breadth of topics within The Urantia Book
    • Experience working in a team environment
    • Background in writing for pleasure or professionally
    • Writing and editing skills
    • Minimum one hour per week with the possibility of a greater time commitment

    Spiritual Growth Conversations Host

    The Stepping Stones Program of The Urantia Book Fellowship has recently launched a public platform offering online video conversations for groups of six to ten participants. We are looking for hosts for these respectful, adventurous, and spirit-focused discussions. The intention of Spiritual Growth Conversations is to provide a safe space for non-Urantia Book students to explore their inner life, share spiritual discoveries, and remain curious as we deeply listen to one another.

    A three-session training series will prepare you to guide these small group, online meetings. In the training sessions you will become skilled in the art of speaking revelatory truths without utilizing words/phrases unique to The Urantia Book.

    Requirements:

    • Familiarity with a breadth of topics within The Urantia Book
    • Experience and/or interest in working in a team environment
    • Willingness to be coached in the art of facilitating inclusive conversations
    • Writing and editing skills
    • Minimum three hours per week with the possibility of a greater time commitment

    Bookkeeper Volunteer

    Witness the unfolding ministry of the Infinite Spirit expressed on scraps of paper! Help us to be accountable to every dollar (literally) and tell the story of why a donation to The Urantia Book Fellowship is the best money ever spent! We are looking for an enthusiastic, part-time bookkeeper to help with data entry and support our internal accounting processes. 

    Requirements:

    • QuickBooks or bookkeeping experience preferred but vocational training is available for enthusiastic learners 

    • Completes work independently and accurately

    • Experience and/or interest in working in a team environment

    • Minimum two hours per week with the possibility of a greater time commitment
